Botanical Dream Bouquet
Ooh la la! You can never go wrong with Mother’s Day flowers, and this Botanical Dream arrangement is hand-delivered by a local florist. It lives up to its name, offering a dreamy combo of roses, carnations, chrysanthemums and eucalyptus in a soft purple color palette. I tested this arrangement, and it looked as good after a week as it did on day one. Just know that there is a slight surcharge for Mother’s Day weekend delivery, and your order will arrive on either Saturday or Sunday.
Levain Carrot Cake Cookies
I will sing the praises of Levain cookies until the day I die, and these carrot cake cookies are perfect for spring. Each behemoth baked good is sweet with a delicate carrot flavor and studded with white chocolate chips. They’re incredibly big—I like to cut each cookie into fourths—and taste even better when warmed in the oven. If carrot cake isn’t her thing, try any of the brand’s other flavors, like these lemon treats, chocolate chip walnut, dark chocolate peanut butter or oatmeal raisin.
Lenox Spice Village
Now a nostalgic relic, Mom may remember the Lenox Spice Village from her childhood. Popular in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, this quaint 24-piece spice set houses spices in a bevy of beautifully detailed houses. Lenox just restocked this swoon-worthy spice set, so snag one for mom before this mini housing market cools down and it sells out—again.
Fishwife Mother's Day Gift Tin
For snack a-fish-ionados, fancy tinned fish is just the thing. But don’t settle for just any tinned fish! We’ve tested Fishwife in the past, and the brand is now our go-to for fishy goodness. This particular gift pack includes a tin each of their signature smoked rainbow trout with red chimichurri, albacore tuna with soy ginger and smoked salmon. They arrive in a gorgeous gift-ready tin, complete with a printed bandana she can wear out in the sunshine.
Candle Warmer Lamp
We love gifting this candle warmer lamp to fragrance enthusiasts. A heating bulb thoroughly melts wax and distributes the candle’s scent, meaning that there’s no nauseating smoke or fire risk. Plus, this elegant accent keeps candles fresh, so they last weeks longer! Even better: we’ve been using the same model for years and it still performs incredibly well.
“I didn’t realize how loyal I’d been to my candle warmer until the new Luzdiosa model landed on my doorstep,” tester Mary says. “Turns out, I’ve been using the same model since November 2023. The new version is just as well-made as the original I’ve kept on my desk and used daily for nearly two years.”
Uncommon Bubble Tea Kits
Calling adventurous moms! Unlike most boba kits, the bubble tea kits from Uncommon Goods come packaged with real, specialty loose leaf tea from Thereabouts. There are two kits available: a traditional tapioca boba kit and a popping boba-style kit. In our review of the kit, we rave about the easy peasy instructions that come with this trendy gift for tea lovers. If you want to impress mom further, grab her a cute tea steeper to go along with her treat.
Apotheke Candle-Making Kit
If she’s a huge fan of candle subscriptions, treat mom with her own Apotheke candle kit. This all-in-one kit has everything your recipient needs to make their very own candle right in the kitchen! I’ve tested this clever DIY kit in the past, and it ticks several boxes on my “great gift idea” list. I’m smitten with this kit’s ready-to-wrap packaging and easy-to-follow instructions. Plus, the interactive element adds a little wow factor.
Harry & David Chocolate Club
You know what everyone loves? Chocolate. Specifically, receiving a new shipment of chocolate every month. With a gift subscription to Harry & David’s chocolate club, you’re really giving mom a new gift each month. It’s the perfect way to quickly become her favorite child!
“It’s been weeks after my husband and I devoured the last piece of the Harry & David Chocolate and Truffle Collection, and I’m not exaggerating when I say that I’m still dreaming of them,” says tester Barbara Zito. “Normally, I’m a Lindor truffle fan with a little Godiva thrown in, but now that Harry & David chocolate is on my radar, it is my mission to enjoy more of it. Although I prefer milk to dark chocolate, I found the dark chocolate selections to be smooth and creamy, not bitter at all.”
Nautilus Wooden Puzzles
Made from thick wood and featuring whimsical pieces, the heirloom-style puzzles from Nautilus are far from ordinary. Unlike traditional puzzles, Nautilus puzzles include”whimsy pieces” along with irregular, “hand-hewn” shapes, which encourage a more mindful solving experience. The whimsy pieces are unique to each puzzle and come in shapes that echo each puzzle’s theme. Talk about attention to detail!
Appy Hour Subscription
If mom loves cultivating her own charcuterie boards, she’ll adore a subscription to Appy Hour. This charcuterie subscription box sends out a package each month containing meats, cheeses, jams, nuts and other build-a-board requirements, so she can enjoy a fancy night in whenever the desire strikes!
“This entire box was exquisite,” raves tester Paul Rankin. “I’m already a huge fan of a charcuterie board, so this was an easy winner. Each meat was different and delicious, the dried cherries and candied pecans tasted amazing. But the cheese, the cheese! The cheeses were the star, particularly the sweetened lemon ricotta, which was absolutely stunning.”
Brightland Rosette Garlic Olive Oil
An extra virgin olive oil that releases a strong, freshly pressed garlic aroma as soon as it’s opened? We’re here for it! Rosette is a premium, cold-pressed California extra virgin olive oil infused with garlic, and it strikes a perfect balance: bold, but not overpowering. According to tester Mary, it’s smooth, rich and bright—the kind of flavor that makes you pause mid-bite. For moms who love a little kitchen magic, this is by far one of our favorite gourmet ingredients. The pretty bottle also makes it super giftable!
Le Creuset Oval Bread Oven
Bakers are always singing the praises of Dutch ovens for a reason. This Le Creuset oval Dutch oven lets me do my second proof right in the oven itself. Then, I just put the whole thing in to bake! For bread baking moms, it’s a gorgeous game changer. Plus, mom will love the longevity and cute colorways of this French-style heirloom baking dish.
Micro Hydro 200mL
The tiny-yet-mighty Micro Hydro stainless steel bottle is the smallest bottle we’ve ever seen. Its insulated, leakproof construction keeps liquids hot or cold for up to seven hours. Sure, it doesn’t hold a lot, but the small size lets mom stash it right in her purse! And according to tester Barbara Zito, mom will appreciate that the Micro Hydro just so happens to hold the contents of a wine glass rather perfectly, too.
Best of Magnolia Gift Pack
Tester Emily Way is a huge fan of Magnolia Bakery—but especially their banana pudding. Soon, mom will be, too! Emily says of this sampler pack, “Upon my first taste, I couldn’t believe how rich and delicious these goodies were—especially the famed banana pudding. Beneath the first layer of pudding is a smorgasbord of vanilla cake and soft, ripe banana pieces. It’s truly a joy to indulge in every bite!”
Mornings at Levain Bakery Candle
If mom loves the smell of fresh-baked cookies, she’ll find herself lighting this sweet candle daily. The combination of buttery dough, sweet brown sugar and melty chocolate chips calls to mind a delicious, fragrant bakery. Emily uses a candle warmer to keep hers fragrant for months at a time, but the clean burn of this candle gives it a delightful aroma if you light it the traditional way as well.
BonBon Candy Gift Box
Moms with a sweet tooth will surely love sinking their teeth into this sweet and sour mix of candies from Swedish company BonBon. The medium-sized box offers a pound of candies. Choose from sweet, sour or both. And if mom has sensitvities, no worries—the brand offers a gluten-free and gelatin-free mix, too! Tester Mary was impressed with both the variety and the flavors found in this charming gift box.
De'Longhi Dedica Duo Espresso Machine
Mom will be whipping up cold brew and espresso shots in mere minutes with De’Longhi’s dual-brew machine! During testing, we were impressed with the machine’s glam look and easy operation. It comes with everything needed to start pulling shots—including an onboard milk frother. While espresso machines may have an expensive reputation, this one is pretty affordable and oh so cute.
The Original Lola Blanket
Our shopping editors consider ourselves blanket experts by now. We’ve tested over a dozen different options, but the Lola Blanket always wins our hearts. We’re certain mom will appreciate wrapping herself in this heavenly soft throw—especially during movie nights or during late summer bonfires.
“The Lola Blanket might be my all-time favorite,” says Shopping Editor Mary Henn of this faux fur blanket. “It’s huge, unbelievably soft and slightly stretchy, and it looks beautiful draped over a couch or chair.”
Stanley Quencher Tumbler
No, the Stanley craze still isn’t over. And your mom will appreciate a Quencher tumbler in her favorite color. (There’s even a special Mother’s Day Stanley print!) Our editors are smitten with this cup’s easy-to-carry handle and vacuum insulation that keeps drinks ice-cold. Our biggest gripe was the lid—it leaks when the cup shifts on its side or is tossed in a tote. But Stanley solved this problem with the Quencher ProTour design. No matter which Stanley you choose, mom will appreciate having accessible H2O when running errands, sitting at her desk or hanging in the yard.
Nordic Ware Sourdough Bread Baking Kit
This sourdough kit from the trusted Nordic Ware brand includes the essential tools for making delicious sourdough. Whether mom is a master at the craft or a total newbie, she’ll appreciate having everything she needs for fragrant, flavorful loaves. In our review of the sourdough kit, tester Mary Henn notes that she was able to hit the ground running without any prior bread baking experience.
“The Nordic Ware sourdough kit is an excellent starting point for anyone curious about baking sourdough at home,” she raves. “With just a few inexpensive add-ons, you’ll be turning out homemade loaves sooner than you might expect.”
Savannah Bee Company Whipped Honey Sampler
Whipped honey offers a delicate flavor and fun texture, especially for spreading atop breads and bakes. Snag mom a set of three flavors, including chocolate, original and cinnamon. Tester Emily even loves using Savannah Bee’s whipped honey in her afternoon tea! As a bonus, each recipe is free from 3,000+ banned ingredients and the jars can be repurposed for plant cuttings and storage.
Tinned Fish Claw Clip
For fun moms who like to show off their quirky accessories, consider a cool claw clip of her favorite treats!
“I’m not exaggerating when I say that this is the cutest accessory I own,” says Emily of this adorable tinned fish claw clip. “I get nothing but compliments whenever I wear it out. The excellent quality paired with the cute sardines makes this a dreamy gift for tinned fish fans!” If mom isn’t big on fish, Jenny Lemons also offers dozens of other accessories featuring fun foods like shrimp cocktails or cuter picks like a sweet honey bear.
Bedsure Wearable Blanket Hoodie
For moms who love a little rest and relaxation, a wearable blanket is the perfect way for her to take a little coziness wherever she goes. Featuring a full length and hoodie, she’ll be covered from head to toe in soft warmth. We love that this option also includes a waist tie to give her a little definition. And there’s pockets for all of her lounging essentials, of course!
Recipes by Mail Subscription
Need a gift for a history buff mom? A recipes by mail subscription gives her access to vintage recipes and information about the people behind them. Emily tried the subscription and felt like she got a peek back in time by way of Emily Dickinson’s black cake recipe. “When my envelope arrived, I was impressed with the reproduction print’s quality—it felt like I was holding a piece of history!” she explains. “Given Emily Dickinson’s gorgeous, exaggerated handwriting, I was grateful that they included a recipe transcription. This came printed on the back of a document detailing an explanation of the recipe’s history as related to Emily, clarifications on measurements and a few other details about where the recipe originated.”
Tea Runners Club
Of all the tea subscriptions we tried, Tea Runners Club was our favorite. It offers four box options to choose from—black, pure, herbal or original—and each order comes with four loose-leaf varietals. Whether mom is already an avid tea drinker or looking to learn more, this club is approachable and surprisingly affordable.
EMILY WAY FOR TASTE OF HOME
Floral Truffles Gift Box
If you’re going to gift a box of chocolates, make sure it’s a high-quality one that will leave a lasting impression. This floral truffles set from editor-approved Compartes is bursting with color and character. She’ll dig into flavors like raspberry rose, blackberry sage and lemon poppyseed. “No matter mom’s tastes, there’s something in this Mother’s Day chocolate assortment she’s bound to love,” says tester Emily Way. “The flavors are rich, the interiors are buttery and the cute little flowers atop each truffle give the entire collection a spring feel.”
Waffle Hair Towel
The Cozy Earth waffle hair towel is one of those little luxuries that instantly upgrades your shower routine. It features a waffle weave on the outside and soft-ribbed terry on the inside for extra absorbency. Mom will feel like she’s at a spa every time she washes her hair!
“It also has two buttons, so you can loop the elastic around whichever one fits your preferred tightness,” says tester Mary. “As a big-headed, long-haired girlie, I deeply appreciate this feature. This towel is generously long and wide, making it easy to wrap all my hair. Now I can’t stop thinking about the matching waffle bathrobe… because at this point, why not fully commit? ”
Ferris Wheel Hummingbird Feeder
There’s something so whimsical about watching hummingbirds flit around this ferris wheel feeder. Three nectar jars with removable feeding tubes offer space to attract multiple birds at once, and the frame provides ample spots to perch. I gifted this to my mom for her birthday and she absolutely loved it. Plus, it’s one of the sturdiest feeders I’ve encountered thanks to glass jars and a powder-coated metal frame.
ChappyWrap Harborview Herringbone Blanket
10 editors spent months testing the best blankets, and we’ve officially named a winner: the ChappyWrap blanket. Mom will love the soft, luxe fabric that’s also easy to clean. “This is the first blanket I’ve owned that combines luxury with functionality,” says tester Nancy Snyder. “Previously, I always sacrificed one for the other. The material (which is a blend of cotton, acrylic and polyester) and finished edges make it soft yet durable—perfect for movie night or draped at the foot of a bed. And because it’s machine-washable, it’s both pet- and kid-friendly.”
Book of the Month Club
For the mom who loves snuggling up with a good novel, look no further than Book of the Month club. Each month, she’ll choose a hardcover or audiobook from a handful of vetted selections. Then, a few days later, it arrives at her door in a bright blue box. I tried Book of the Month and was thoroughly impressed by the quality selections from established and rising authors.
Cozy Earth Bamboo Pajama Set
Look, I won’t lie: Cozy Earth pajamas are pricey. But they’re also made from the softest, coolest fabrics I’ve ever put on my body. The classic piped details, generous size range and flattering fit make these best PJs a worthwhile splurge—especially if mom struggles with night sweats.
Last Crumb Cookies
A box of handmade, artisan cookies shipped to your front door makes for a fantastic gift for anyone! Last Crumb’s core collection was a total hit with our testers. Each gourmet-style cookie is big, beautifully packaged and tastes homemade. Sure, they’re pricey—but for a cookie fiend, you simply won’t find a better box of treats. As someone who has done her fair share of cookie baking, I was impressed with how homemade these taste. Most mail-order cookies taste like they’ve been packaged for weeks and are packed with preservatives. Last Crumb cookies taste like I picked them up from a local bakery.
Ninja Creami Swirl
Mom’s soft-serve cravings will go to the next level when she unwraps a Ninja Creami Swirl. This must-have gadget turns almost anything you can think of—yogurt, protein shakes, fruit, coffee—into a smooth and creamy frozen treat. We’ve tried several iterations of the Ninja Creami, and we’re smitten with this model’s newfangled attachment for dispensing your ice cream into picture-perfect swirls. Sweet!
Mint & Lily Opal Trio Sleeper Stud Earrings
We love flat-back earrings for their poke-free backings, and these Mint & Lily opal trio earrings are a sophisticated option for jewelry-loving moms. I’ve worn this set for over a year with zero irritation or loose stones. The flat backs really do make a difference for sensitive sleepers, especially if you have multiple piercings.
One word of warning? Sleeper earrings can take some time to get used to and require physical dexterity to take on and off. This set is also 18-gauge, which may not fit thicker ear lobes with a standard 20-gauge piercing.
Coffee and Chocolate Set
You and mom go together like coffee and chocolate! This curated gift set includes six 1.8-ounce bags of coffee from around the world and 12 decadent handcrafted chocolates for the ultimate pairing. I’ve tried both brands featured in this collab—Atlas Coffee Club and andSons Chocolate—and both are extremely high quality. Talk about the ultimate Mother’s Day pick-me-up!
Woobles Crochet Kit
If mom loves to take up new skills, this Woobles crochet kit is an excellent entry point to textile crafts. The kit has everything she needs to create a cute little animal friend, including yarn, stuffing, a crochet hook, a yarn needle and a stitch marker. Plus, she’ll have access to step-by-step video tutorials and downloadable PDFs of patterns. I tried a Woobles kit, and as someone with zero experience, it really does a great job of breaking down essential steps.
Tea Time Gift Basket
One present is great. But multiple? All tucked inside adorable boxes? That’s gifting perfection. We were impressed with this Mother’s Day gift basket loaded with fresh goodies. “This adorable melon-themed gift basket is chock-full of things that make Mom feel special,” says tester Emily. “The simple and classic mug paired with immunity tea and cookies of all kinds is a delicious twist, and the tasty buttermints and granola bites add a little extra flair. The bright boxes are sturdy enough to repurpose as storage, too!”
Caraway Ceramic Fry Pan
Ceramic cookware has exploded in popularity thanks to its nontoxic coating free of PFA chemicals. Caraway is one of the industry leaders, especially when it comes to style. Mom will love this sleek frying pan for whipping up eggs, wilting greens or simmering sauces. “After using it for a few months, I’m still a big fan. It cleans so easily,” says long-term tester Maggie Knoebel. “There are some minor scorch marks on the bottom, but otherwise, it’s still in great shape.”
Custom Photo Book
Commemorate a special trip or daily life with custom photo books. These personalized presents are cost-effective, easy to make and a darling way to share memories with mom. “I hate that so many of my family photos have been sitting in the depths of my phone’s photo app,” shares Content Director Nicole Doster. “I’ve been using this service for years, and it makes it so easy to create high-quality photo albums using photos via their app.”
Bonne Maman Mini Jam Gift Set
Mother’s Day gifts don’t need to break the bank. This “10 Ways to Say I Love You” gift set from Bonne Maman costs less than $30 and packs a big impact. I especially love the packaging—each teeny tiny jam jar is encapsulated in a little paper box with space to tuck a sweet note inside. All 10 preserves are then arranged inside a reusable keepsake tin. Sweet!
Buffy Wiggle Pillow
As a new mom, product tester Mary Henn knows just how difficult it can be to find a comfy sleeping position when experiencing pregnancy or recovering postpartum. The Buffy wiggle pillow is designed to fit into any configuration so mom can get the rest she needs. “The soft, flexible design of the wiggle pillow lets it bend and tuck, unlike other body pillows I’ve used,” explains Mary in her wiggle pillow review. “It fits comfortably between my knees, pulls nicely over a shoulder and wedges against my back.”
Self-Care Gift of the Month Subscription
Mom works hard. Give her some R&R time with this self-care subscription. For three or six months, she’ll get a box of goodies to help her unwind. In testing, I received an at-home spa kit with foot scrubs and lotions one month and a set of aromatherapy shower steamers the next. Both options were high-quality and use natural ingredients like essential oils.
Tea Forte Demoiselle Gift Set
Mom will love slowing down and enjoying the finer things in life with this luxe tea set. Designed in collaboration with the New York Botanical Garden, this tropical-themed gift box includes a tea cup, steeping lid, tea tray and 10 pyramid tea infusers. She’ll love sipping on citrus earl grey, mountain oolong, tropical passion flower and more varietals.
Jeni's Ice Cream
Jeni’s makes some of the best ice cream around. So, if mom likes to indulge in a scoop or two of the good stuff, treat her to a pretty cool care package. I tested Jeni’s pint club and was awed by the mix of surprising and nostalgic flavors. There are plenty of gift sets to choose from based on her preferred flavor profile, and I highly recommend picking up a pint of the Brambleberry Crisp.
Wolferman's Bakery Mother’s Day Tote
English muffins? Check. Coffee? Yep. Sweet treats like kringle and scones? You bet. This Mother’s Day brunch tote has everything she needs for breakfast in bed. “While there’s some assembly required for this fun and colorful gift, I actually preferred that,” says product tester Emily. “Everything was packaged so carefully. There was no breakage, squishing or leaks—each and every treat is fresh and tasty!”
Kobo Clara Colour
Gift the mom who always brings her reads along the gift of a lightweight e-reader. The Kobo Clara Colour is affordable, yet also totally on-par performance-wise with the bigger e-reader names.
“For a color e-reader, the Clara Colour is pretty impressive,” says tester Emily in her review. “It delivers a nice reading experience, sure, but there’s so much more that help it rank up there with other popular e-reader options. Its user-friendly UI coupled with its customizability make it appealing for both e-reader newbies and longtime users alike.”
A Brighter Year Mini Coloring Books
You know what mom deserves? Three minutes to relax her mind with these whimsical, pocket-sized coloring books. During our testing, we found them to be a great way to unwind. Creativity seekers will appreciate the wide variety of options available, including geometric patterns, crafty cats and little snacks. And of course, A Brighter Year also offers travel-friendly colored pencils and markers for impromptu creativity.
Dagne Dover Dakota Neoprene Backpack
If mom’s backpack has seen better days, upgrade her to the best travel backpack for all-day wear. This neoprene bag from Dagne Dover has ample pockets for storing tech, cosmetics, everyday essentials and even a change of clothes. Whether she’s a commuter or has insatiable wanderlust, this bag is a sleek, sturdy option. I’ve taken it on multiple trips and it still shows zero signs of wear.
Double Hammock
Now that the days are getting longer, help mom make the most of her outdoor space. This double hammock is my go-to refuge for reading, napping or just enjoying the elements. We ranked it “best overall” on our list of the best backyard hammocks due to its generous size, wide variety of patterns and value.
Croc Chop Vegetable Chopper
We’re not big on gag gifts, but this “croc chop” vegetable chopper actually serves a purpose. And, let’s be real, he’s downright hilarious to look at it. We love veggie choppers for prepping produce to use in dips, salads, stir-fries—you name it. This adorable tool has surprisingly sharp blades. It cuts through peppers, cucumbers and onions with ease.
