Finally, McDonald's added the one thing it's been missing for years.

If there’s something new at McDonald’s, I’m going to be trying it. It gives me an excuse to order the best Diet Coke of any fast-food restaurant, plus it’s fun to see what new flavors or foods come and go. As a food writer, I always have my eyes on the next big thing. And there’s one thing that’s been missing from McDonald’s menu: a chicken Caesar wrap.

I know, it’s a lot to ask for every restaurant to carry my favorite meal. So when I heard that McDonald’s was dropping a new wrap and a matching creamy dipping sauce, I couldn’t get there fast enough. Safe to say, it did not disappoint. Here’s my full review.

What is the new McDonald’s dipping sauce?

Mickey D’s just dropped one of its most exciting new items of the year: Caesar sauce! This is a creamy, garlicky, lemony new addition to an already elite sauce lineup. I had never thought to use Caesar dressing as a dipping sauce before, but now I may never go back.

There are three ways you can order it:

  • Caesar Snack Wrap: A McCrispy Strip topped with shredded lettuce, shredded cheese and creamy Caesar sauce, all wrapped in a soft tortilla.
  • Bacon Caesar McCrispy Sandwich: A McCrispy sandwich filled with Caesar sauce, thick-cut applewood smoked bacon, shredded lettuce, Roma tomatoes, crispy onions and crinkle-cut pickles on a toasted potato roll.
  • Caesar Dip Cup: Want extra Caesar for dipping and dunking? Order a dip cup a la carte.

I got the Caesar Snack Wrap and an order of the classic McNuggets with a dip cup. Genuinely, this dip is so good. The Caesar Snack Wrap hit the spot, and I can’t wait to order it again. Dipping the McNuggets in the sauce was delicious too, and it kind of felt like a Caesar dressing-mustard hybrid in taste and texture. It was tangy and full of flavor—a nice swap from my usual honey mustard.

How long will the Caesar Sauce be available?

Sadly, this is only a limited-time offering from the Golden Arches. It’s available nationwide at participating McDonald’s locations now, but it won’t stick around forever. I already have plans to go back and try the Bacon Caesar McCrispy before it’s gone. But McDonald’s, hear my plea: Make this a permanent sauce offering! We deserve to have Caesar sauce year-round.
