The coolest lunch on the block just got an upgrade.
Do you remember how cool it felt to unzip your lunchbox at school and pull out a Lunchable? In fact, I used to get so excited to go to the grocery store with my mom because it meant I got to pick out my Lunchables for the week. I guess you could say that this was my very first foray into meal planning!
It seems like everyone has a favorite way of assembling their little snacking bites. Once in college, my best friend and I picked up a bunch of Lunchables on a whim for dinner one night. I was shocked to see that she stacked crackers, meat and then cheese. For me, the best order is cracker, cheese then meat. We had a lively discussion about the pros and cons of both. It kind of makes you wonder, is this where the millennial obsession with charcuterie boards started?
Lucky for us, Lunchables just launched a brand new product. Enter: Snackables. Here’s what to expect from the new snacking experience.
What are Snackables?
If Lunchables were your first exposure to the concept of a charcuterie board as a child, then this is the natural progression into something fun and easy you can eat as an adult who needs work snacks.
Think of Snackables as mini, portable cheese boards. There are two flavors: cheddar and Colby-Jack. The cheddar version comes with cheese, crackers and Welch’s fruit snacks. The Colby-Jack version comes with cheese, crackers and chocolate chip graham bear cookies.
If you have kids, throwing a few of these into your bag before heading out the door is a great idea for you and them. It’s a snack and an activity all in one!
When will Snackables be available?
The Snackables are available at participating retailers nationwide now, so check your favorite grocery store in the snack section. These retail for $2.99 each, and they come as a two-pack that you can snap apart to share with a friend (or kid).
