Gluten-Free Goldfish Crackers Are Coming This Fall—Here’s When You Can Get Them
The snack that smiles back has even more reason to smile.
When it comes to snack time, I really have a special place in my heart for salty treats. It’s why cheesy crackers like Cheez-Its or Goldfish are always in my pantry.
In fact, Goldfish crackers are permanently etched into my childhood memories of sitting on my patio and reading Nancy Drew mysteries. It’s such a strong sensory memory for me. I’m sitting in the sun, reaching my fingers into my small Tupperware cup to grab those little orange fish and getting a whiff of book smell with each turn of the page.
And I am very pleased to report that now even more kids can make their own memories with Goldfish. In a huge new announcement from the brand, gluten-free Goldfish are about to hit shelves. Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming drop.
When will gluten-free Goldfish be available?
These new gluten-free Goldfish will be swimming to retailers nationwide in November. The exact date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but keep an eye on social media over the next few months to get more info about the drop.
The crackers will be available in a 5-ounce package for around $4.99. It is slightly pricier than standard Goldfish products, which usually come in a 6.6-ounce package and retail for between $2.79 and $3.99, depending on region and retailer.
Once the gluten-free Goldfish are available, rest assured that I will be doing a side-by-side comparison and taste test like I did with Cheez-Its to see how well they manage to mimic the OG flavor and texture.
Will the gluten-free Goldfish be safe for people with celiac disease?
Yes. In order for gluten-free food to be safe for people with celiac disease, it cannot risk cross-contamination with gluten during production. And the new gluten-free Goldfish are a GFCO (Gluten-Free Certified Organization) certified product.
