The new limited-edition White Castle Beer Cheese Menu is a delicious collaboration with Jason and Travis Kelce's beer company, Garage Beer.
I was born and raised in Illinois, but I was able to spend two glorious years living in Wisconsin in my mid-twenties. I lived in Madison, two blocks away from Lake Mendota and the famous University of Wisconsin Terrace. If you’ve never been, let me paint you a picture: It is a sprawling lakeside terrace dotted with cafe tables and chairs for relaxing, hanging out and eating.
And yes, there is plenty of food and beer available for sale at the Terrace. You can order from all of Wisconsin’s main food groups: brats, cheese, pretzels and beer.
All of this is to say that when I tried White Castle’s Garage Beer Cheese menu, I was transported to that Terrace in Wisconsin in the best way possible. Here’s everything you need to know about the meal, like what it includes and when you can order it for yourself.
What is White Castle’s Beer Cheese menu?
This is a new collaboration between White Castle and Garage Beer, the beer company co-owned by Jason and Travis Kelce. Made with Wisconsin aged cheddar and real Garage Beer, the exclusive-to-White Castle Garage Beer Cheese is available to enjoy three ways:
- Garage Beer Cheese Sausage Slider: The all-new Slider features a mini-smoked sausage link, split, grilled and topped with Garage Beer Cheese and caramelized onions. All served on White Castle’s signature Slider bun.
- Pretzel Nibblers with Garage Beer Cheese: The soft and chewy pretzel bites are fried until golden brown and served with a dippable warm Garage Beer Cheese sauce.
- Garage Beer Cheese Fries: White Castle’s classic crinkle-cut fries topped with the warm Garage Beer Cheese.
If you’re drooling, I get it. I was, too, when I started reading the menu.
How did the White Castle Beer Cheese menu taste?
I was genuinely impressed by the quality of this Garage Beer Cheese sauce. I mean, beer cheese has such a unique flavor, and I was a little skeptical about its ability to come through on a fast-food menu. But boy, do I love getting proved wrong.
The depth of flavor in the sauce is incredible. It’s definitely so much more hearty than your standard melty cheese sauce. I’m not usually a big fan of cheese fries, but these were delicious. I loved eating them with a fork out of the box, and I think the only thing missing was some crispy bacon crumbles. The pretzel bites were also warm, salty and crispy.
But the true star of the show is the new sausage slider. In fact, I kind of feel like the brand created this product specifically for me. I love smoked sausage, and piling it with beer cheese and caramelized onions on a bun was a winning choice. It’s rich, smoky and satisfying. I love that the mini sausages are split in half for maximum browning potential on the grill. It’s also the kind of sandwich I would really enjoy the morning after a late night out.
In my opinion, the only thing missing was an ice-cold can of Garage Beer.
How long will the White Castle Beer Cheese menu be available?
This is a limited-edition offering at White Castle. The Garage Beer Cheese menu items will be available until Nov. 1 at participating White Castle locations. And it’s only while supplies last, so the menu could potentially end before that November deadline.
