The new Minions & Monsters meals have landed and even the classic Wendy's Frosty is getting in on the fun.
If you ask me to name my favorite fast-food desserts, a Wendy’s Frosty is always near the top of the list. I love running through the drive through for a summertime pick-me-up or making a copycat version at home. And who doesn’t love having something to dip french fries into? So when I heard Wendy’s was introducing a brand-new Banana Frosty flavor, I immediately paid attention.
This summer, Wendy’s is teaming up with Illumination’s upcoming Minions & Monsters movie for a limited-edition meal lineup that includes collectibles, themed drinks and a Frosty flavor that’s sure to make fans go absolutely bananas.
What is the Banana Frosty?
This new treat uses Wendy’s classic Vanilla Frosty base and has a sweet banana cream sauce swirled throughout. Considering how much the Minions love bananas, this flavor pairing feels especially fitting. I love it when Wendy’s adds mix-ins and swirls to the Frosty. Remember the Thin Mint Frosty this past spring?!
The Banana Frosty Swirl is also included as part of the new Minions & Monsters Adult Meal. Guests can choose either a Big Bacon Classic or Wendy’s new Spicy Chicken Sandwich, along with a small order of Hot & Crispy Fries, a small Banana Frosty Swirl and one of four exclusive Minions & Monsters mystery-box collectibles.
If the Frosty isn’t your jam (I’m only judging you a little bit) Wendy’s is also introducing two new beverages inspired by characters from the film: Pineapple Minion MischieFizz and Goomi’s Glimey Lime.
How long will the Banana Frosty be available?
The Banana Frosty Swirl will be available at participating locations nationwide beginning on June 15. Like many limited-time fast-food collaborations, these items won’t be around forever, so fans will want to visit sooner rather than later.
Banana desserts don’t appear on fast-food menus very often, and combining that flavor with a classic Vanilla Frosty sounds like the perfect summer treat. If you’re a Minions fan—or simply looking for an excuse to order dessert first—June 15 is a date worth marking on your calendar.
