Listen, I love all my favorite fast-food chains equally. But I have to admit that McDonald’s is undeniably the best when it comes to serving breakfast food. Its hotcakes, hash browns and breakfast sandwiches are really hard to beat. And the McDonald’s Egg McMuffin is one of the best fast-food inventions of all time. I mean, it can fill you up when you’re running to work and cure a hangover.
And for everyone who enjoys this feat of breakfast engineering as much as I do, there is reason to celebrate. McDonald’s is making the Egg McMuffin available for just $1—and the deal is here for only one day.
When is the McDonald’s Egg McMuffin $1?
This deal is good for one day only, and that’s National Egg Day. This year, it falls on Monday, March 2. It might be the best thing that’s ever happened on a Monday morning!
Both the Egg McMuffin and Sausage McMuffin with Egg will be priced at $1 when you order them through the McDonald’s app. And listen, if you haven’t downloaded the McDonald’s app yet, I completely understand. I got really frustrated when fast-food restaurants started listing their best deals as app exclusives. I abstained out of protest. But I finally caved and tried out the McDonald’s app last year, and it has been wonderful. It’s so easy to take my time ordering whatever I want, and I don’t get flustered at the drive-through window anymore. I can also easily customize my orders (hello, Filet-O-Fish hack) and see if there will be any up-charges in advance.
All of this is to say, the app is worth a $1 Egg McMuffin deal. Just make sure that you place your order before 10:30 a.m. on Monday, otherwise you’ll have to wait until next National Egg Day to score this kind of deal.
