Ready for some juicy news? Le Creuset has just released a trio of fruit-shaped mini cocottes, and we can’t get over how adorable they are. Truthfully, we get excited any time Le Creuset introduces something new, but this latest drop has us hungry for summertime.
Le Creuset is known for its heirloom-quality cookware, including the Dutch oven that is a staple in many of our editors’ kitchens. But if you’re looking for less of an arm workout, you’re in for a treat with the brand’s new pint-size fruit cocottes. These cuties resemble the ripest blueberry, peach and strawberry you’ll ever taste.
What are the Le Creuset fruit cocottes?
As classic as Le Creuset cookware and accessories are, the brand is no stranger to quirky designs. (Duck pie vent, anyone?) But as we’ve learned, the offerings are more than just aesthetically pleasing. They’re made to be used, and these mini fruit cocottes are no exception. And at $55 each, we’re tempted to take all three of them home.
Each cocotte is made from nonporous, nonreactive stoneware that stands up to scratches and stains—and it’s backed by a 10-year warranty if it doesn’t. The colorful glazed nonstick surface makes cleanup a breeze—although you can pop these beauties in the dishwasher, too. They’ve also got superior thermal resistance from -9 degrees to 500 degrees, so you can take these from the refrigerator or the oven/microwave right to the table. The cocotte features handles on either side for easy carrying, plus an adorable lid that mimics the stem and leaves on the peach and strawberry and the calyx on the blueberry.
With a 16-ounce capacity, these mini cocottes are the ideal size for individual desserts, but you can also fill them with sauces, dips, small treats and, well, just about anything you see fit to serve. Is it too on the nose to fill the blueberry with fresh blueberries? If so, we don’t care. (And seriously, how precious would that look on a dessert table?)
Blueberry Mini Cocotte
This cocotte is berry sweet, don't you think? Use it to bake a tiny blueberry crisp or hold freshly whipped cream for blueberry pie.
Peach Mini Cocotte
Pretty in peach! We love the shaded hue on this pretty pink cocotte, along with the darling stem detail.
Strawberry Mini Cocotte
Elevate your brunch spread by serving fresh fruit, strawberry jam or a baked berry cobbler in this sweet dish.
Where to Buy
This delicious new cookware trio is available on the Le Creuset site, as well as other major retailers like Williams Sonoma, Crate & Barrel and Amazon. Just like the delicious summer fruit that inspired them, hurry and get yours while they last!
