The brand is officially jumping in on the spicy food trend with its new Jimmy Dean Premium Hot Bacon. It’s a spicy version of its classic sliced bacon that’s seasoned with the same signature spice blend that’s on the Jimmy Dean Hot Sausage.
The bacon is smoked, cured and pre-sliced, with a “bold, spicy kick in every slice.” It’s designed to cook just like traditional bacon, whether that means in an oven, microwave, air fryer (or even in water!), depending on how ambitious you’re feeling before coffee.
The new release comes in a 12-ounce package and is made with premium pork. It’s also gluten-free and contains 6 grams of protein per serving.
The launch is part of a broader push into spicy foods from Tyson Foods. Alongside the new hot bacon, Hillshire Farm is releasing several new smoked sausage varieties, including Spicy Italian Rope, Sweet Hickory Links and Jalapeno Cheddar Links.
