If there’s one thing I love about summer, it’s having an excuse to treat myself. The days are longer and warmer, so why not? Whether that means making no-bake desserts to keep the kitchen cool or drinking an iced coffee during a sunny afternoon drive, there’s just something about a seasonal dessert that makes summer feel a little more special.
And this year, Dairy Queen is giving us plenty of reasons to make a trip to the drive-thru. The chain is celebrating both America’s 250th birthday and the excitement of international soccer with four new frozen treats—including three brand-new Blizzard flavors and a festive red, white and blue Misty Slush Float.
What are the new Dairy Queen Blizzard flavors?
In honor of the World Cup, Dairy Queen is dropping a trio of globally inspired flavors that bring some delicious twists to the chain’s classic treat.
The new Blizzard flavors include:
- Strawberry Mango Mochi Blizzard: This fruity combo features mango-flavored mochi pieces and strawberry topping blended into DQ’s signature vanilla soft serve. It’s a fun mix of sweet, tropical flavors and chewy texture that feels perfect for summer.
- Biscoff Cookie Blizzard: Cookie butter fans, rejoice! Dairy Queen is bringing the beloved flavor to the Blizzard lineup with crunchy Biscoff cookie pieces mixed into creamy vanilla soft serve. It’s sure to be a favorite among cookie lovers.
- Mexican Hot Chocolate Blizzard: Inspired by the classic drink, this Blizzard is made with Abuelita Mexican hot chocolate mix, chocolate chunks, fudge-covered marshmallows and cocoa. It’s all blended with soft serve to make a rich chocolate dessert.
In addition to these three new Blizzards, there’s also a new Stars & Stripes Misty Slush Float. I’ve long been a fan of this particular DQ treat, and the festive red, white and blue version is super cute. It combines layers of Cherry Misty Slush, soft serve and Blue Raspberry Misty Slush, then finishes it all off with star-shaped sprinkles. It’s basically a Fourth of July party in a cup!
When will the new Dairy Queen items be available?
These limited-time items will be available beginning June 29 at participating Dairy Queen locations nationwide. The Stars & Stripes Misty Slush Float will be available through July 5, so definitely head to your local DQ during the holiday weekend to try one.
