Why I Love It

This is the third year in a row I’ve been lucky enough to get my hands on the Bonne Maman Advent calendar. And it never disappoints.

The packaging alone makes this calendar well worth it, as it’s pretty enough to display on its own as a holiday decoration. Last year, Bonne Maman changed the design to put each mini jam jar in its own box, which was a 10/10 upgrade that I’m glad to see has recurred for 2026. (Previous iterations of the calendar had perforated windows, and sometimes the jams would shift around inside, making it hard to open.)

I also love that the spreads feature simple ingredients—no high fructose corn syrup or food dyes here!—while delivering bold flavors. Plus, jam is naturally versatile. Enjoy each day’s surprise spread on a piece of toast, mixed into a cocktail or baked into a thumbprint cookie.
