Like many busy moms, I make trips to Costco on a weekly basis. They allow me to stock up on all the necessities, but I admit that I am not immune to the allure of the store’s seasonal items and new product launches.
I discovered a bunch of new buys on my latest trip. From new products in the aisles and refrigerated sections to tasty treats making their debut at the bakery and in the food court (some which even won an A rating of approval from my two girls), these seasonal spring offerings are worth getting excited over.

Lemon Custard Pie
The Costco bakery is always coming up with new desserts that are gorgeous and fit to serve a crowd. I love anything citrus, so when I spied this lemon custard pie, it drew me right in. It all starts with a flaky pie crust. Filled with a baked lemon custard and adorned with a fluffy crown of whipped topping, this pie is 4-1/4 pounds of pure deliciousness for a respectable $18.99. Considering that it can be sliced into at least two dozen wedges, it’s a deal worth snatching up before it’s gone.

Raspberry-Filled Sugar Cookies
If you love Linzer cookies around the holidays, this new bakery treat is your answer for springtime snacking. Each raspberry-filled cookie looks almost like a confectioners’ sugar–covered handpie. The cookie is similar to a decadent shortbread, and hiding inside is a sweet raspberry jam filling. For $10.99, you can head home with 15 of these cookies. That is, if you don’t bust the clamshell open in the parking lot to sneak a bite!

Strawberries and Cream
This dessert is simple, fresh, and exactly what I need when I don’t have time to make something sweet. As we enter fresh strawberry season, I love that Costco is offering a prepared strawberries and cream dessert. The large tub sells for $14.99 and is layered with graham cracker crumbs, sweet whipped cream and gorgeous fresh strawberries. Even though I shop for a small household, desserts like this one get eaten up quickly.

Lobster Mac and Cheese
Once I hit the prepared foods area, I stopped in my tracks because calling my name was a tray of mac and cheese that I couldn’t wait to dive into. That’s right, lobster mac and cheese. It is worth noting that this wasn’t a skimpy, where’s-the-good-stuff kind of mac and cheese. There are huge morsels of lobster meat front and center on this delicacy. Each tray weighed around 4 pounds, and the mac is selling for $6.99 a pound, making the meal under $30. Pop lobster mac directly into the oven and serve it hot for a brunch that will be unforgettable.

Marin French Cheese, Petite Cheeses 4-Pack
Growing up, I spent a lot of time in the San Francisco area because my grandma and uncles lived in Marin and Sonoma counties. So when I spotted this 4-pack of offerings from Marin French Cheese, I couldn’t get it into my cart fast enough. Now that I’m in the Midwest, I was so excited to once again taste this high-quality cheese—especially since it’s offered for a great price. Each wheel is 4 ounces, and the 16-ounce package sells for $13.49. The pack includes a triple-cream Brie, a Camembert, a truffle Brie, and the original breakfast Brie. Yep, I circled back to the bakery to pick up a baguette.

Olivia’s Cake Pops
My 3-year-old spotted this product before I did. With arms outstretched, she declared, “Ooh Mom, I want to try that one!” I can see why these are irresistible to kids of all ages. A box of 12 cake pops sells for $9.99, and includes four double chocolate pops, four pink birthday pops and four blue confetti pops. I like that they’re made with natural flavors and colors, and that they’re a school-friendly treat without common allergens. She won; I bought them!

Gen Bake Protein Muffin Tops
If my girls were going to get a treat, I figured I deserved something as well. When I spotted these protein-packed muffin tops, I knew that they were for me. Each serving is packed with almond and chia, and contains 14 grams of protein. This is exactly what I’m looking for on busy mornings when I’m juggling getting my toddler ready for preschool—sneaking sips of coffee while packing her backpack and brushing her hair. Since they’re individually wrapped, I can toss one in my purse for a breakfast on the go. I am always on the lookout for new high-protein and healthy snacks at Costco.

Food Court Mint Ice Cream
Several new items have hit the Costco food court lately, but this one is by far my favorite. My girls always beg to share an ice cream cup once we finish up our shopping, so when I spied the food court serving mint-flavored ice cream, it was an instant yes from me. The green-tinted mint dessert for only $1.99 can’t be beat. My younger daughter is almost 18 months old, and she loved it so much that she wanted to hold the cup all by herself and dive right in with a spoon. Many napkins later, I deemed it to be a hit with all three of us. If I didn’t have to share and worry about messy toddler cleanup, I would definitely order the Double Chocolate Mint Sundae for only $1 more. With chocolate cookie crumbles and chocolate sauce, it’s to die for.
