Malted Butter Pecan Waffles

Dust off the malted milk powder that’s sitting all the way at the back of the pantry. These malted butter pecan waffles put it to good use.
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup malted milk powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- 3 cups buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 cup toasted chopped pecans
- Maple syrup and whipped cream
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, malted milk powder, sugar, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs; add buttermilk and butter. Stir into dry ingredients just until combined. Fold in pecans.
- Bake in a preheated waffle maker according to manufacturer's directions until golden brown. If desired, serve with syrup and whipped cream.
