Freezer Door Margaritas

Perfectly chilled, tangy, boozy and ready to drink, freezer door margaritas are worth clearing out a bit of space in your freezer.

Ingredients

  • 1 liter tequila (including bottle)
  • 3/4 cup triple sec
  • 2/3 cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 to 3 ounces simple syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • Lime wedges
  • Kosher salt
  • Ice cubes

Directions

  1. Remove 1-1/2 cups from tequila bottle; reserve for another use. Using a funnel, add orange liqueur, lime juice, simple syrup and salt. Replace bottle cap; shake to combine. Freeze until well chilled, 4 hours or overnight.
  2. To serve; let bottle stand at room temperature 10-15 minutes. Moisten rims of 4 margarita or cocktail glasses with lime wedges. Sprinkle salt on a plate; dip rims in salt. Serve margaritas over ice in prepared glasses.
