This apple pie lasagna is layered with fall's best flavors, including cinnamon, apples, graham crackers and caramel.
Ingredients
- 18 whole graham crackers
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
- 8 tablespoons butter, melted
- FILLING:
- 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 ounces heavy whipping cream
- 2 cans (20 ounces each) apple pie filling
- 1 tub (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 1/4 cup caramel sundae syrup, optional
Directions
- In a food processor, pulse graham crackers and walnuts into fine crumbs. Transfer to a large mixing bowl; stir in confectioners' sugar and melted butter until it resembles wet sand. Reserve 1/2 cup of the mixture. Press the remaining into the bottom of a 13x9-in. baking dish. Set aside.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, beat cream cheese, confectioners' sugar, cinnamon and vanilla until smooth. Set aside.
- In a separate large mixing bowl, beat heavy cream to stiff peaks. Gently fold into the cinnamon cream cheese mixture until incorporated. Spread evenly over the crust.
- Place apple pie filling in a food processor; pulse to chop the apple chunks into small pieces. Spread apple pie filling over the cream cheese layer.
- Spread thawed whipped topping over the apple pie layer. Garnish with reserved graham cracker crumbs. Drizzle with caramel sauce, if desired. Cover; chill at least 4 hours. Cut into squares to serve.
