Yield 12 servings
This apple pie lasagna is layered with fall's best flavors, including cinnamon, apples, graham crackers and caramel.

Ingredients

  • 18 whole graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 8 tablespoons butter, melted
  • FILLING:
  • 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 ounces heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cans (20 ounces each) apple pie filling
  • 1 tub (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/4 cup caramel sundae syrup, optional

Directions

  1. In a food processor, pulse graham crackers and walnuts into fine crumbs. Transfer to a large mixing bowl; stir in confectioners' sugar and melted butter until it resembles wet sand. Reserve 1/2 cup of the mixture. Press the remaining into the bottom of a 13x9-in. baking dish. Set aside.
  2. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, beat cream cheese, confectioners' sugar, cinnamon and vanilla until smooth. Set aside.
  3. In a separate large mixing bowl, beat heavy cream to stiff peaks. Gently fold into the cinnamon cream cheese mixture until incorporated. Spread evenly over the crust.
  4. Place apple pie filling in a food processor; pulse to chop the apple chunks into small pieces. Spread apple pie filling over the cream cheese layer.
  5. Spread thawed whipped topping over the apple pie layer. Garnish with reserved graham cracker crumbs. Drizzle with caramel sauce, if desired. Cover; chill at least 4 hours. Cut into squares to serve.
